ISIS sentronics GmbH was founded by the present CEO Dr. Alexander Knüttel at Mannheim/Germany in 2006. The company’s cutting edge technology is partly based on the wealth of expertise accrued in the areas of optical interferometry and medical technology during the past two decades.

The sensors developed by ISIS sentronics on the basis of optical interferometry, many of which have been patented, permit extremely fast and highly accurate determination of layer thicknesses and 3-dimensional surface topographies, including roughness. ISIS sentronics has developed sensors suitable both for inline production monitoring of coatings/multilayer films and for offline inspection of wafer substrate thicknesses, 3D topography, etc., all the way through to examination of the interior spaces of machine components.

Over the years, ISIS sentronics has developed complete inspection system fitted with the company’s own sensors, which are successfully used in the fields of: wafers/ semiconductors, mechanical engineering/ automotive, films/ coatings, and medical technology.
